Please note: Widgets for iOS are currently only supported when using Apple Health as your chosen step-source. If you are using FitBit as your primary step-source, you may try the following:

Update your permissions in the Stepler application to allow for data to be accessed by Apple Health. After completing the aforementioned, you can switch back to using FitBit as your primary step-source.
